Coronavirus halts operation of Taiwan’s largest Foxconn plant for a month. Taiwan’s largest factory, Foxconn, which manufactures various components for the PlayStation, Xbox, iPhone and Xiaomi technology, risks spoiling the upcoming new year holidays for all fans of video games and new smartphones.

According to the company’s latest report in February, production was completely paralyzed — all because of the raging coronavirus epidemic. The management that sent employees to home quarantine can be understood — Foxconn employs more than 700,000 people. Of course, they could not allow a local epidemic.

Analysts also note that due to the suspension of production, the iPhone 9 (iPhone SE2) may be late. In order for the consoles to be released on schedule, namely by the end of 2020, Foxconn must start working now. But the company still doesn’t have the necessary capacity.
